Malibu Engagement Session

I have been meaning to blog Jamie and Erik’s Malibu Engagement Session for some time now. Jamie contacted me after she was referred by Katie and Mike.  Jamie and Erik are having a #snowmance and are set to get married next month. Their wedding is going to take place amidst a winter wonderland of beautiful Lake Tahoe.  I have photographed a few weddings in Lake Tahoe already and its such a gorgeous place for a wedding.  It’s also not a bad place to work while shooting wedding photos.  I am extremely excited for them and their big upcoming adventure.  Knowing these two, the wedding is sure to be an epic party.

Jamie and Erik knew exactly what they wanted from their engagement session locations. They are both very active and outdoorsy people. As a matter of fact, they are so outdoorsy that we hiked nearly 1 mile uphill to a set of abandoned ruins in the hills of Malibu State Park. We spent some time there before heading back down and shooting under some in the fields of Malibu for a while. After a quick wardrobe change, we headed over to El Matador State beach to finish off with some beach photos at sunset.
