Island Hotel Newport Beach Persian Wedding
I am thrilled to finally be featuring Gil and Nancy’s Island Hotel Newport Beach Persian Wedding on the blog. If you have never attended a Persian Wedding before, at a first glance, the Persian wedding would appear similar to other weddings. What sets Persian weddings apart is their tradition-infused ceremonies. The ceremony is rich with old customs and stunning details conducted in an intimate setting around an elaborate spread of symbolic items. The spread, which is called Sofreh Aghd, often has crystal decorations, food and floral arrangements, among other things, as well as a mirror called a aayeneh-ye bakht, which translates to the mirror of fate. Persian wedding receptions are usually filled with dancing, singing and more dancing. The dancing and celebration usually takes priority over dinner or other formalities.
Nancy and Gil’s Island Hotel Newport Beach Persian Wedding was no exception. Every detail carefully selected and beautiful. The Sofreh Aghd, was ordained with intricate detail. It was one of the most beautiful Sofreh’s I had ever seen. Nancy and Gil looked unbelievably fabulous and elegant. Family and friends surrounded them during an intimate ceremony. And everyone danced into the late hours. After the dancing ended at the reception, all the guests joined them for the after party in the hotel night club and continued the party. There was even a private pool party at the hotel for all their guests. Gil and Nancy’s wedding was an epic two day wedding event that won’t soon be forgotten by their family and friends.
